Jocelyn Scheirer is a veteran of the wearable biosensing industry. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles and papers on affective computing and sensing technology and presents at both academic and industry conferences. She has held appointments at Harvard and Brandeis University, and has deep experience in early stage wearable products. She founded or was part of founding three MIT Media Lab spinouts, the most successful being Affectiva, Inc., an affective computing company, which has the world's largest database of emotional expressions, and whose software Affdex is used by one-third of Fortune 100 companies. She consults for individuals and companies.
